About Jenny
As well as being a counsellor, Jenny is a wife, partner and mother. She has four adult daughters and seven grandchildren. She has been a teacher, a researcher and has had many other jobs in her working life. One of the wonders of her life is being able to spend time with her whānau because everyone lives close by. “What a joy it is to be in this position.”
Jenny is a singer and music has always been a big part of her life. For years she was part of different musical groups, singing at different venues.
For over forty years horses were a major part of her life. Five years ago she called time on riding but has continued to use the wonderful learning she did with horses in other domains in her life.
Dogs also feature large in her life and you’ll see photos of Buddy, her labrador, on these pages. She reads books and gardens and over the past five years has discovered the benefits and power of working out at the gym.
Jenny’s counselling identity is shaped in part by all of these other identities. Her studies have given her a rich wealth of knowledge, theory and philosophy, and strong foundations to guide her in her practice. Her life experience and all the many other hats that are available offer her an array of possibilities to reach for to assist in the way she works in therapy..
